Daniel Corbeil's artistic practice is a cross between installations, sculptures, photographs and models. Each of these mediums poses various aesthetic issues, but also important social issues. In order to assess these issues and share the multifaceted aspects of the artist's work, four authors have been involved in participating in this publication co-edited by Plein sud édition and MA Musée d’art. John K. Grande, renowned land art specialist and expert on the links between art and nature, Mona Hakim, historian, author of numerous publications and independent curator, Bernard Lamarche, curator of current art at the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec as well as Jean-Philippe Beaulieu, author and professor in the Department of French Literature at the Université de Montréal, examine Daniel Corbeil's career. In the realization of his works, of which we can admire the miniaturization abilities, or the kinetic mechanisms, or even the protean and delicacy universes, Daniel Corbeil often borrows from science the studies and predictions based on various models and simulations.

Contributing to the Quebec arts scene for more than 25 years, Daniel Corbeil inculcates in this scene both a credibility and a social vision. Discover these universes with multiple aspects, full of poetry and composed of alternative solutions, cycles of life generation, climate laboratories that are at the crossroads of the various artistic disciplines.
