This publication was produced as part of the exhibition Unités de transfert / Transfer Units presented at Plein sud from January 25 to March 1, 2014.
In a text entitled "Staging Memory and Deviance," author Jocelyne Connolly offers us a fine analysis of the defining features of Denise Dumas's approach, as well as the keys that allow us to make an informed reading of the visual elements that were part of the exhibition as well as their unsuspected depth.
Jocelyne Connolly is a historian of art and art critic. She has written numerous articles and exhibition catalogue texts, in addition to collaborating as an author on a number of books. She has also designed and carried out in-depth research exhibitions involving the concept of installation.
