Configurations

Drawing from a selection of significant works alongside a series of studies, most of them previously unknown to the public, Configurations offers a look back at the last fifteen years of Nicolas Grenier’s painting practice. The exhibition highlights both the technical progression of one of Québec’s foremost painters of his generation and the evolution of a fundamentally conceptual approach. Rooted in a reflection on political systems and the organization of our lives, societies, and cities, Grenier’s art subtly underscores, with a touch of irony, the inherent absurdity of the structures in which we live.
