This artist’s book accompanies the eponymous exhibition by Nada El-Omari, on view at Plein sud from May 9 to June 27, 2026. Winner of the 2025 Plein sud Grant, the video artist and writer of Palestinian and Egyptian descent presents a hybrid practice that combines image, text, and sound to examine the modes of perception that shape our lives. The book brings together a text by El-Omari — intense and uncompromising — and a counterpoint text by Miryam Charles, De ma fenêtre (From My Window), which takes a more meditative tone. It is interwoven with a long bilingual list of everyday sounds and black-and-white photographs of unsettling intensity.
