In a sunny afternoon the skin of a fully ripened mango was removed, and the glowing yellow flesh presented itself to me. I saw the colour, and I believed I knew its taste, except the red vein which shouldn’t belong there but to a longing yet abandoned past. A tender and its warmth became the reminder embedded in the juicy yellow heart. Its scent went through my nose to my chest while I stared at it with regret and apology that I had forgotten it.
